Bloody Hell - There Goes $9000 Into A Black Hole
Posted by RichSlick under Money Management, The Fed
Thanks for visiting. This blog is intended for individuals with Net Annual Income of $105,000 or more. Get Rich Slow + Get Rich Quick = Get Rich Slick. If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed.
I’ve sent off my check to the IRS for close to $9,000 for bloody taxes due. I’m still boiling over the fact that I’m not getting a tax refund and I’m still holding the economy hostage as I REFUSE to buy any consumer goods for the rest of the year: No iMac, no iPhone, no 52″ LCD TV, no domestic vacations!

I paid close to $70,000 in federal income taxes and this doesn’t include property taxes, sales taxes, fees and other such income theft schemes for the year. If you factor those in, I’m sure the total tax bill is way over 100k but what’s a man supposed to do?
That’s not the worse part however because if inflation is running at 7 pct or more then that means that the income I did earn is worth 7 pct less than when I earned it!
As badly as I have it though, there is always someone who has it worse and you can read about that rant here.

There are over 8 months left to go in the year. You are not going to make it Slick!
You deserve that iPhone for making so much money last year and you know it.
Seriously though, what was your actual % taxes paid? That’s the number that really matters, not the arbitrary dollar amount.

Dountoothers - you know me too well! Arggggg..the new iPhone is coming out in a couple of months!
Darn it, I do deserve it but I will hold strong!
As for the percentage, are you asking about just the income tax or all taxes. If I recall from the paperwork, I think the percentage was about 24 pct.

You paid $70,000 in taxes? Man, I would love to have your problems. It would take me 3 years to even make that much money.
