America Quickly Moving Toward 3rd World Status; The New “Corn Republic”

I’ve been at home during the summer and the days have been rather hot so I’ve had the A/C on most of the day and keep it at 78 degrees Fahrenheit but even this seems to be much for the power company as I now seem to experience brief blackouts at least once every day. The only other place I’ve seen the power go out right in the middle of the day has been in third and fourth world countries.
I recall a two week long vacation in the Dominican Republic many years ago where I stayed at an apartment rather than a hotel and was amazed to see the power go out two or three times a day and I’m feeling like I’m there now! It’s funny how suffering brings out the most peculiar memories.
Couple the frequent power outages with reduced city services (e.g. garbage collection), the decaying infrastructure around the United States, the trillions of dollars lost to corruption and the USA is close to falling into a Banana Republic…perhaps a “Corn Republic” is a better name for what’s happening to the United States.
Banana Republics have a tendency of having the export of bananas as the main economic driver for their economies so the US will have corn and perhaps wheat as it’s main export in the near future. Almost every food item at the grocery store has corn in it so it makes perfect sense.
Have a Happy Fourth of July and celebrate the United States pre-Corn Republic days while they last….
