It’s Official, Lost Decade Is Here, Dow Closes At 1997 Levels

Check the Dow lately? It’s down to 1997 levels so we are now officially in a lost decade. The question: Will the Dow stay here for the next 10 years or shoot to 17,000?

This certainly sucks for those already or about to be retired. For those of us in our early 30′s and entering the prime earning and saving years of our lives, this is great!
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think nor do I want to see the boom times of the past 10-12 years. However, as in ANY economic times, those that are nimble enough to adapt will be able to get ahead.

We’re not out of this mess now but let me posit what will happen in 30 years when it’s your turn to retire?
