Well there’s at least one company in the U.S. that’s frozen wages and that happens to be my wife’s company. She’s managed to dodge two rounds of layoffs but now has recently received her review and been told that no one is getting a raise anytime this year. Actually, I’ve heard from friends and associates that are still employed that raises are a no go so there’s actually more than one company out there not giving raises.

In other news, the unofficial unemployment rate seems to be hovering around 20% when measured the way it was back in the good old days and not with fantasy statistics the BLS reports.
