There is a TV show on the History Channel called Life After People and I’ve wondered if they should create a show called Life After Credit.  Let’s take a look at what it might be like.

In Life After People, a few days after people are gone, man-made factories, refineries and industrial plants seem to blow up.  In Life After Credit, a few days after the banks are gone, man-made entities such as government institutions, large corporations and too big to fail orgs will blow up.

In Life After People, nature seems to immediately take hold and “wash away” the ugly structures of the past.  In Life After Credit, common sense will take hold and “wash away” the ugly practices of the past: heavy taxation, inflation, interest, etc.

In Life After People, consumption seems to return to a nominal level where creatures only consume what they need for a day to live.  In Life After Credit, production and consumption return to a realistic level (i.e. no more 5000 sq. ft McMansions and Super sized Big Mac combos).

Come on History channel, give us Life After Credit (and Banking).
