I have one questions for him, which he probably answered in the book…
When did you know that you wanted to be a money-manager, or did you just fall into it naturally?

Is it easier or harder to manage 20B on this recession environment??
Thanks,
Jaime

In response to Ben’s question, I had an inkling in high school since I was involved in stock market competitions and I was pretty good at math. Didn’t know for sure until my stock brokerage internship in college.
In response to Jaime’s question, I no longer manage $20 billion since I now started my own investment firm (Sidoxia Capital Management) in Newport Beach, CA. Theoretically with asset values lower, managing $20 billion would be tougher – especially with liquidity a bit lower. Managing $20B is like an elephant walking on thin ice – manager must be methodical and errors can be costly.

I sent you an email.
When did you start Sidoxia Capital Management?
…and what made you stop working for someone else?

Started Sidoxia Capital Management in 2008.
I have always had the itch to start my own investment firm and hedge fund. Now I’ve scratched it!
