I was watching YouTuber What’s Going On With Shipping? (video below) and he is expecting a 35% reduction in ships docking in the ports on the west coast of the U.S. The slow down is a result of the tariff war that is currently ongoing.
A 35% drop in shipping means a reduction of goods by 35% so imagine your local Costco, Walmart, Home Depot, etc having 1/3 less items on the shelves.
As soon as I got back from my recent trip, I stopped at Costco and loaded up on supplies for the next 9 months. I bought essential items like soap, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, medicines, and other similar items.
I’ve been reading various blogs and sites and it seems many people are out loading up on stuff in anticipation of shortages. The shortages are supposed to hit in a few weeks. I expect prices to surge and possibly fights breaking out at stores or severe limits on what you can buy.
