AI is simply amazing. I intended titling this post, “I have no desire for material things anymore” and write about where I feel I am in my stage of life but it got me thinking so I decided to have a conversation with AI. The conversation led to creating the table of contents below about how life is like chapters in a book.
It appears I am in Chapter 9, hence the title of this post.

Chapter 9 is all about “The Slowing Down” and retirement, reflection and reconnection. On my recent trip to Asia, I had never felt more reconnected with people, able to reflect on life and eager to start my retirement, preferably overseas. “Saying More With Less” is also another quote hitting right (and write) on the mark. I have little desire for any more material things, it’s all about experiences and being around good people. Ironically, I am finding more and more people along my journey with similar sentiments.
Sadly, I know far too many people getting cancer or some other illness and becoming disabled or worse passing on. To quote a scene from Shawshank Redemption, “I guess it comes down to a simple choice. Get busy living or get busy dying.“
I am going to try as hard as I can to finish one more year of work before I start living life again the way I did when I was in my first three chapters in life.
