I am late getting this post out because I appear to have flat-lined in weight loss again. This happened around the same time last year as I approached my 1 year anniversary on Zepbound. I am now approaching Year 2 anniversary which will happen on February 1.
The dilemma for me is that I don’t want to increase my dosage anymore, I am on 10mg/0.5ml now. The side effects (for me) with this drug are nausea and constipation and while I can tolerate it and deal with it with diet, if it gets any worse it will want to make me stop taking Zepbound. My game plan now is to focus on eating healthier and exercising more but that’s become a challenge because I returned to work recently. I am now missing my morning swim and daily activities like de-cluttering, shopping manually (instead of delivery services) and gardening (winter). Quite honestly, I am spending far too many hours sitting at my desk at home doing “work” stuff and it’s really annoying me.
The good news on the cost front is that Eli Lilly continues to drop the cost of the drug for direct consumers and I hope they continue to drop it more over time. I was paying $499 and the new price is $449 for a month of meds.
We’ll see how December goes and adjust from there.
