My anniversary with Kiva was actually in February but I’m moving it to December because it’s easier to do a year end summary at the end of the calendar year than February.

I have now loaned out money to hundreds of people in 48 countries. As of today, Kiva has a limit of 71 countries so I’m a little over 2/3 to my goal to have at least one loan to people in every country on Kiva.
I have lent out money to all the sectors Kiva has which includes agriculture, clean energy, construction, entertainment, health, manufacturing, retail, sanitation, transportation, wholesale, arts, clothing, education, food, housing, personal use, recycling, services and water.
There are 166 activities listed and I’m barely 1/3 of the way there but I try to concentrate my lending to areas I think make the biggest impact so I’m not sure if I will ever get to all of the activities.
I have achieved merit badges in Women’s Equality, U.S. economic equality, Basic Needs, Climate Action, Refugee Equality, and working toward others.
My goal for next year is to increase my loans by $1000 and I’m setting money aside from my new job to reach that goal by the end of next year.
