I continue to tweak my financial apps and now I am adding some “quality of life” features to them to make things even easier for me. The latest iteration of my put ratio application is down below with some enhancements.
I would like to pick up some QQQ but there is no way I am paying full price so why not sell a put ratio and get paid to wait for QQQ to come down and give me a 7.1% discount? Would you like to buy QQQ at prices 7% below than today and get paid for it?
That’s what this app is all about, it searches through thousands of option pairs, calculates the optimum returns and price points and gives me some options (pun intended). The app that AI wrote does all the work, I just feed it raw data and it cooks up a nice souffle!
The latest enhancements are to auto highlight the best option but I also asked for checkboxes so that I would stop taking snapshots and highlighting them with an image app. It saves me a few minutes now when I want to post images here and have it all pre-colored and configured for easy consumption.
I am not quite ready to execute put ratio trades just yet. I would like for the market to correct by a few points so I can get even deeper discounts but in the meantime, I am investing in net credit collars so don’t worry, I’m still making money.
Gemini
A big shout out to Network Chuck who did a YouTube video showing me how to access Gemini via command line interface. This process saves me a ton of time “chatting” with the web interface and copying and pasting code back and forth to fix errors. With the command line interfaces, Gemini has direct access to the files and updates the codes, runs tests & diagnostics, checks the output and verifies everything is working. I just sit there telling it what I want it to do and it does it!
Another Day Another App
I also created another app to make my life more efficient. In addition to reading a ton of financial news, I watch a ton of YouTube videos on investing, stocks, ETFs, and other money subjects but it’s become too time consuming to watch them all. My “trick” was to watch them at 2x speed but even that is time consuming and there are always ads so AI to the rescue!
I had come across some website that summarizes YouTube video and tried it and liked it but I wondered why I should use that website when I can build my own!
Well I built my own little app that I provide with a list of URLs that I want summarized in a text file and it summarizes all the video with key information I requested.
I bypass all the ads, save time, get the information the YouTuber wanted to get across so there’s only one obvious problem. Do you see it? How are YouTuber’s going to make money off of ads if AI can summarize everything without anyone having to watch the video?
I suspect YouTubers will rebel and start blocking AI from scrapping their content but that won’t last for long because something or someone else will just replace them. This problem won’t just be with YouTube, why subscribe to any news service, subscription or forum if you can just get AI to summarize everything.
Unless you have a real strong passion for a YouTuber or website, they are all going to be toast!
The whole world is about to change in ways people can’t even begin to fathom. I am glad I’m working and banking as much money as possible because I’m getting really frightened about this now.
