My family and I have been planning our summer vacation that involves visiting three countries in Europe with family members that live in different places. Initially we were having trouble coordinating all the activities day by day until I came across this video.
My family and I started using Monday.com to plan our travel and we found it an absolutely great tool to collaborate on our travel plans with it. We are able to organize all activities in one place including booking hotel, air, car, and activities. We are able to store snapshots of all the reservation information and related documents. It also has a mapping and budgeting tool. I was also able to “assign” activities to various family members with due dates to ensure they get done!
What About Finance?
As I continued to dive deeper and learn more about Monday.com on YouTube, it hit me that I could use this tool to replace my onerous money calendars I’ve been managing and simply have one place to go to update everything.
I now have dashboards for key finance activities that require calendars such as tracking my options expiration contracts, dividend pay outs for stocks, interest pay out for bonds and will soon add rental income for my rentals.
I am still building all of this in Monday.com and while I’ve been using the free version, I may soon become a subscriber to integrate more things. I’ll keep working on this and have an update soon on how I’m using the tool to track everything.
I really wish Monday.com could see the potential to become a much better version of Quicken by allowing data feeds from credit cards and other banking institutions but perhaps in the future it will have this capability.
