It is amazing that I am now starting year 3 on Zepbound. Over the past two years I’ve lost about 40 lbs but around November I started “flatlining” on weight loss. I had the same thing happen on the first year around the same time.
Starting Jan 1, I got on Atkins diet for two weeks and I lost about 5 lbs but as soon as I got off the Atkins diet, I gained it all back. I am now flat on weight loss for the month of December and January. I did go see my doctor last week and we agreed to bump me up to the next level dose which requires I jump up to 12.5 mg for a month then 15mg from that point forward.
I still have 3 vials of 10mg left so I’ll finish those before I start on 12.5 so I expect to remain flat in weight loss. I may get back on the Atkins diet however it’s tough to just eat protein and limited carbs for more than a couple of weeks. It’s also hard since I need extra fiber to fight the drug’s main adverse effect for me which is constipation.
Overall, I feel much better, clothes are so loose now that I’ve started slowing buying new clothes. I don’t want to buy much because I hope to lose another 20 lbs this year and hopefully more.
