The great news is I lost 5 lbs in August but it may have been more due to COVID than Zepbound. Mid-August I picked up my first ever case of COVID and I didn’t eat much for 3 days. I took Paxlovid and recovered after five days and gained back a pound or two which is on its way to dropping off again.
The interesting thing this month is I switched to the vials from auto pens and I thought I might end up overdosing on the drug. The “kit” I received came with 50 unit syringes and no real instructions. It wasn’t clear to me from the instructions on Zepbound’s website or the instructions how much fluid I was supposed to fill the syringe with so I ended up calling Eli Lilly and spoke to a rep that said I should fill the syringe to the 50 unit mark or 0.5 ml. I did that, took the dose, and didn’t die so all is good. Please don’t take these instructions as information on what you should do, always clarify with a pharmacist or manufacturer if you’re unsure about the dose.
I still have some autopens left that I will take with me on an upcoming vacation. I don’t like the idea of traveling with vials and syringes on my carry on given the issues I’ve had in the past with TSA but they rarely say anything about the pens.
