Well I went to the doc and told him I have flat lined in weight loss. Doc upgraded me to 15mg but I have to take the 12.5mg as an intermediary step which I started this week.
Ironically I lost 2 lbs in February BEFORE starting the new higher dose so I am hoping I will restart losing weight at the normal rate as in the past.
There is news on the Zepbound front. Eli Lilly now has a monthly shot instead of a weekly one however I am not sure I will ever sign up for it. I explained to the doctor that I normally take my shot on Wednesday and from Thursday thru Saturday, I am not hungry however when Sunday rolls around, the hunger starts to come back and that’s generally when I eat too much, including snacking.
I suggested to the doc that I would be way better off just taking a 5ml shot on Wednesday and another 5ml shot on Sunday instead of 10ml on one day during the week but he said that the drug isn’t designed that way. I hope this new higher does doesn’t “wear off” the same way the old one does but only time will tell.
The cost has now “stabilized” as I’m paying slightly under $500 for my monthly shots.
Overall, I feel much better, clothes are so loose now that I’ve started slowing buying new clothes. I don’t want to buy much because I hope to lose another 20 lbs this year and hopefully more.
