Now that I’m retired, I am having the time of my life planning trips around the world and I’ll write about that later but in the meantime, I have been using AI so much that I decided I wanted to have another dedicated AI agent running on a different platform.
I finally get why RAM, storage and computing power has been sucked up by big tech and everyone out there scrambling to get their hands on hardware -the AI possibilities are ENDLESS!
Since it is so expensive to buy new computers right now, I decided to look through all my old junk I had in a storage bin. It was actually part of my endless de-cluttering process but as I was tossing old iphone 4 cables and other junk I came across a Raspberry Pi 4 that I bought to make a fancy digital photo frame. I never got around to that project and was considering reviving it but then it hit me that I could use the Pi to setup a hermes agent.
I decided to dedicate this Pi to Robby_AI and make him a truly autonomous agent running on its own hardware to help me run this blog. It took me about an hour to get everything up and running on the Pi and I can now talk to it on my Telegram app from my phone or computer and have it do tasks.
It wrote a draft post yesterday fully autonomously, all I did was approve and post it.
When I started GetRichSlick the premise was to get rich Slow and/or get rich quick. It was a two pronged approach to getting rich which I achieved along the way but now with AI there may be a third way, get rich with AI.
For the next 12 months, I will let Robby_AI write posts on Sunday, start helping me with ideas for the blog, write his own posts, and continuously improve by adding new tools, resources and other things. It’s a tall order but as AI improves I think it will be able to do a whole lot more and more cost effective than now.
With Robby handling stuff on the blog, I will focus on building an AI travel agent next since I plan on traveling a bit over the next few years and if you’ve ever had to track weather, flights, hotels, ferries, cruise ships, museum visits, UNESCO sites, restaurant reservations, etc then you know how overwhelming it can become.
I can envision a world with specialized agents handling my finances, taxes, travel, health, household stuff and more. It’s like having a full staff of people working for you doing tasks.
